Nice to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Kathleen and I'm a director and coach here at KR Coaching.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Until then, I thought you might like to know a little more about me and my story. I understand... you know, stranger danger and all of that.

I've wanted to run my own business since I was a kid. I remember begging my mum for a notebook so I could write down all of my client names. I spent my pocket money at the Sydney Easter Show buying a 'Lois and Clarke' showbag because it had a folder, a notebook and a vinyl carry bag, all of the essential elements required for running a successful business. I was always coming up with crazy business ideas that amused friends and family in the way you're probably amused by a puppy chasing its tail.

The business ideas were entertaining but I never had one that I was prepared to work long and hard for.

So, with no clear idea of what I wanted from my life, I applied for Uni. I applied for an 'Occupational Therapy' degree but wrote down the wrong code and ended up being accepted into a 'Science, Health & Leisure' degree at Sydney University... so I went, because, well...what else was I going to do? 4 years later I was a qualified Health & Leisure Therapist. I loved it.

I have a passion for health, wellness, personal development, emotional resilience and meditation. I am endlessly fascinated with understanding how our subconscious mind is ruling our realities. So, I followed my passion and ended up completing a stack of courses 'on the side'.

Fast forward 10 years and I find myself working in the corporate world. Huh, how did that happen? Well, it's what you're meant to do, isn't it? Chase the promotion, the pay rise, the next opportunity. I was pretty darn good at what I did but it didn't make sense for who I was as a person. I was spending my days being one version of myself and my nights and weekends being my true and authentic self. It was exhausting.

My friend, clearly fed up with my exhaustion and frustration recommended I talk to a life coach. I remember telling my coach (Hey Natsai!) I thought I was beyond help and that I didn't see any way I could reconcile my life with any meaning or purpose. I was hope-less. I was told that I wasn't beyond help and that with her help I would figure it out. I'm not sure I was convinced but I was willing to take the chance.

I committed to a coaching series, paid my dollars and waited for the magic to happen. It did. I had insights that in hindsight seemed ridiculously obvious like "So, you're a qualified health and leisure therapist - can't you combine that with your other qualifications to create a business for yourself"
Ummm, YES!

Sometimes it takes another perspective to shine a light on what we haven't been able to grasp for ourselves. I understand and believe this so deeply that I worked my butt off to build KR Coaching to where it is today. It's a business I work long and hard for because I know how confronting it can be to stand up and ask for more from your life. I know what it takes and I'm 100% convinced that you can achieve what you want, even if you may not believe it yourself (yet!).

My childhood play is now my reality. I'm living the dream and I know you can too.

I know what it takes because I've lived it and I'm still living it. I know what I do works because I've done it. I drink from the well. I walk my talk.

I can't wait to hear your story. Until then, feel welcome to explore my online home and give me a shout if there's anything you need!

Sometimes we need to forge the unfamiliar path and put ourselves in the way of trying something new, of embracing something completely foreign and of putting our trust in someone we don’t know but who are familiar with the world you’re unfamiliar with.
